Introduction

I pledge to only buy fish from sustainable catches. I pledge to use only biodegradable cleaning products and to use as little as possible - extra elbow grease works wonders on tough stains. I pledge to tell everyone I know to about blue and encourage them to make changes and pledges."

Sinead Martin - Student. Dunedin, NEW ZEALAND

"I pledge to use my cloth bag for carrying shopping home instead of plastic bags. Also, I will pick up rubbish from my local beach each time that I see it. I will, in future, purchase sustainable fish caught on line and try to vary my diet to include lesser used parts of fish and less well known fish which are in more plentiful supply than the more popular fish. I will constantly look to improve my behaviour in my everyday life to lessen my impact on the sea and land that we and other creatures live on."

Sharon Stevens - Devon, UK

"I pledge to always pick up trash while out surfing, and picking up trash on my way in. When I see someone throw a cigarette butt, I ask them nicely to please not throw them on the ground any more and I pick it up myself. I hope it will make someone just think about it and change their ways."

Margaret Wiesehai - Mother & Surfer. San Diego, USA

"I pledge to wash cloth diapers not throw away disposables."

Justin Liudvinaitis - Father, Runner & Mountain Biker. Maine, USA
