The BLUE Project will concentrate on translating awareness into concern and concern into action. It will encourage the thought that each individual can make a difference and individuals working together can become a community - and communities make significant impacts; the next stage is then to make a difference.
Building a BLUE Community begins with people who are already connected with our water environments. The aim is to encourage people to think 'BLUE' and to take some steps to reduce their impact on our water environments.
BLUE communities will make being 'BLUE' - actively caring about our water environments - both acceptable and desirable. They will encourage others to follow a BLUE LIFE with simple-to-follow guidelines - the BLUE CODE.
The BLUE Project will work with major sports events, governing bodies and sports equipment and clothing manufacturers to develop a more sustainable approach to sport and the environment.
