The opening ceremonies of both the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing have been remarkable. I thought we'd see something incredibly special on the 8th August that would unlikely be repeated at the opening of the Paralympic Games but I think we were treated yesterday to a show that was equally dazzling. I'm delighted that both ceremonies had such a strong focus on the environment. The IOC and the IPC should be very proud of what the movement is achieving and I hope we see other sports organisations and events following their example.
