OVERVIEW:
Rick Deppe is a multi-talented offshore sailor, currently serving in the new position as onboard media representative onboard Puma Ocean Racing in the Volvo Ocean Race 2008/9. In an interesting twist in this event, each team will have an 11th crewmember aboard to photograph/film the adventure as it unfolds. Deppe was the ideal candidate for the job. As a venteran Bowman of two previous Volvo Ocean Races (Fortuna and Chessie Racing), Deppe understand the rigors of the race. And as a video photographer for programmes such as discovery's "Deadliest Catch" and disney's "Morning Light", he has proven that he can deliver amazing footage even in the harhest marine conditions imaginable.
