Well, I guess that's it! I'm back home in Brittany and settling down to a more sedate lifestyle.

It's not as bad as I'd thought, in spite of the cold weather.. I had grown accustomed to the warmer climates of the Equatorial Pacific, with the notion of winter being very distant over the past few weeks.

For the time being, I'm concentrating on the events that tumbled so rapidly during the Pacific Ocean Challenge. These events did teach me many things, but the fact remains that I only accomplished half of what I had set out to do. Opening new roads is never easy, of which I was quite conscious upon tackling this past challenge. Therefore, victory is not always at the end of the road.

That being said, from San Francisco to the Equator, I had the opportunity of practising incredible sailing, not always under ideal conditions, allowing me to experiment the various kites. Needless to say, now I can comment on the changes effected to the various kites that had been primarily designed for kite surfing and not kiteboating.

If they proved effective over 3000 kilometres, they attained their limit under not so ideal wind conditions. The technology evolves constantly and happily there is still a future...Everything remains possible!

I wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope that you continue to hope for the success of your projects and your dreams!

All the best for 2009.

Anne
