Blue Schools: a vision for the future

Our vision is to establish a network of coastal and waterfront (Blue) schools that are linked together to be able to share experiences, content and ideas about their local environment.  We are now looking for a number of schools and educational partners to participate in a pilot project that will enable them to connect with other schools around the world that face different pressures on their coastal environments. Together, we aim to establish some key criteria for a “Blue School” and encourage teachers and pupils to adopt areas of their coastline to undertake educational and environmental activities.
