Charlie Head, from the Isle of Wight set out from Lands End, in Cornwall on 12th September to paddle 500 Blue miles along the South Coast of England to London on a Stand Up Paddle board. A month on and Charlie has conquered the South Coast.
As he heads out this morning from Margate on day 34 of the challenge, Charlie can be happy in the knowledge that the end is in sight, with only the Thames left to complete. With approximately 60 blue miles left to paddle, Charlie is expecting to finish his South Coast SUP at London Bridge in approximately 1 weeks times. Following the completion of his South Coast Paddle, Charlie will begin preparations for Stage 3 of his series of SUP challenges, to paddle 3,000 across the Atlantic Ocean on a Stand Up Paddle board, scheduled for next Autumn.
If you would like to join Charlie on the water over the last few blue miles of his paddle, the final rendezvous point is Tower Bridge. For more information on how to JOIN Charlie, please click here.
